Clear Roads is an on-going research project examining materials, equipment, technology and methods for winter maintenance operations. Currently, seven state DOTs participate and fund Clear Roads as a pooled fund research project. Tom Martinelli, of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is the Clear Roads Technical Advisory Committee Chairman.
We had an opportunity to speak with Tom to learn more about Clear Roads.
