Not only was Torino, Italy the site of the Winter Olympics, it also hosted the 12th International Winter Road Congress and the 13th Standing International Road Weather Commission or SIRWEC conference from March 25th to 30th.

Richard Powers, the District Engineer at the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Globe District, gave a presentation on snowplow driver training at the 2006 APWA North American Snow Conference.

The 2006 American Public Works Association (APWA) North American Snow Conference was held April 30th to May 3rd in Peoria, Illinois. The Conference included general and targeted sessions, roundtables and manufacturer/supplier exhibits.

The Conference featured Change Track sessions, which were coordinated to address some of the barriers to change that organizations face and ideas for overcoming them. (more…)
