SuperMix is a blend of anti-icing/deicing chemicals. Mark DeVries, the Maintenance Superintendent for the McHenry County Illinois Division of Transportation, developed a system to make SuperMix, that they use for anti-icing and as a pre-wet solution.

I had the opportunity to speak with Mark about SuperMix and anti-icing in general.
